Integrated Yoga Therapy

 Integrated Yoga Therapy is a gentle, personalised approach to health promoting strength, energy flow, vitality and wellbeing. Blending traditional yogic and ayurvedic approaches to promote empowerment, self-awareness and self-care, the therapist works collaboratively with the patient to devise a personal practice that can be developed over subsequent sessions.

Using a blend of movement, sound, breathing practices, meditation and deep relaxation techniques, the integrated yoga therapy programme is tailored to your individual needs.  Health issues, lifestyle and wellbeing are considered from both western perspectives and ayurvedic/eastern perspectives and patients develop a tool kit of practices that go beyond symptomatic relief to promote an understanding that there is the potential for wholeness within us all.

You do not have to have a flexible body to practice yoga!  No need to worry if you have never practiced before, as your personalised programme will generally only include gentle movement and restorative postures, unless stronger practice is appropriate for more experienced clients.

Suitable for a wide variety of health conditions, rehabilitation following injury or surgery, chronic pain, fatigue, women’s health, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD.

Suitable for both adults and children, yoga therapy does not in any way detract from conventional medical treatment.

1:1 Yoga Tuition

 Louise is a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher with ten years teaching experience.  She teaches classical yoga to both adults and children and has a specific interest in the therapeutic applications of yoga.  If you are not keen on class situations or you are looking to develop a personal practice, why not consider tailor made 1:1 tuition either at the Tree Room in Colchester or where suitable, in your own home.

Louise is also trained to deliver the scientifically trialled Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs 12 week course for treatment of lower back pain. This course can be taken on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. Contact Louise for further details.
